Do get good and early rest every night!

Posted by financialplanner8 on July 30, 2008

Sharing with you guys some interesting article .Hope it could enlighten us to get better health. After all Health is Wealth

As we all know good rest and sound sleep is very important… if we don’t sleep well, the toxic in our body will start to accumulate.. hence it will be affecting our health and our mood…

The main causes of liver damage are:
1.
Sleeping too late and waking up too late are the main cause.
2. Not urinating in the morning.
3. Too much eating.
4. Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.
8. Consuming overly done foods also add to the burden of liver. Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our body to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to ’schedule.’

Because: Evening at 9 – 11pm : is the time for eliminating unnecessary/ toxic chemicals (de-toxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on her health.

Evening at 11pm – 1am : The de-toxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state. Early morning 1 – 3am : de-toxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 3 – 5am : de-toxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the de-toxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.
Morning 5 – 7am : de-toxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.

Morning 7 – 9am : Absorbtion of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30am, for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 -10am rather than no meal at all. Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood.

Therefore, have a good sleep and don’t sleep late. :)

Gold,is it still cheap or can it move higher?

Posted by financialplanner8 on July 27, 2008

My friend recently came and asked me what do i think of gold???Can the price keep moving higher???That’s something that been playing in a lot of commodities trader’s mind of late.My answer was simple.Yes and No.In any investment the only thing that are certain ,risk and reward. But of course we should never leave the decision making to fate.It is never the case of head you buy tail we sell,in investing. There are few past experiences that we can reevaluate in order to predict what shall we do to make sure the decision that we arrived at are the well informed decisions.

People all over the world buy gold for various reasons.Be it for hedging purposes,as a safe heaven investment or merely speculating. But bear in mind that in holding gold ,we are not getting any interest on it,as compared to holding to other type of investments. In 1973-1975,gold prices tripled.1978-1980 gold prices went from $150 to peak at $850.So what exactly made the prices move the way they did at that time???It happened mainly because the interest rate fall to a low level ,and it couldnt keep up with the inflation. As long as this situation exist we can say based on the past experiences, gold price tend to move higher.Of course there are other factors to move the price, but i guess the correlation between interest rate and inflation is the major factor.

So,…….can the gold price move higher???

Leverage?Good or Bad

Posted by financialplanner8 on July 22, 2008

Let’s start by knowing the real meaning of leverage.Leverage in general is the degree to which an investor/ business in general is utilizing borrowed money.Companies that are highly leveraged may be at risk of bankruptcy if they are unable to pay their debts on time and consistently.

It is important to notice that leverage is not always bad as when it is used properly it can increased the shareholders’ return on their investment. But lately the stockmarkets are in havoc and a lot of people are panicking as many companies are on the verge of going south due to improper ‘leveraging’ concept been applied. For example,in the case of two famous companies in US that have attracted people attention lately ,all for wrong reasons.I am sure you guys will be identify which and what companies that i am talking about.Let’s just call them A and B.

A and B are in big trouble ……

Wrong usage of the leverage concept is the problem with these government-backed institutions. They have been said to have bought $1.7 trillion in assets using only $70 billion of investors’ money!!!! So these assets only have to decline by $70 billion – 4.1% – to wipe out shareholders. No matter how big and stable you are ,as we can see from here, this kind of arrangement should not have done in the first place.Overly leveraged. Actually, if you include their mortgage guarantees, A and B are liable for $4.8 trillion worth of mortgages. So to wipe investors out, mortgage values only have to decline by 1.4%,and it seems thats is what happening right now.So are we suprise that the Dow Jones are having tough time lately???

So what shall we do?just cash out and wait for the bottom??? the obvious answer is NO.Stay invested,do not panic .Go for defensive stocks, preferably those that provide high dividend that might be acting as an anchor to our overall portfolios until the situation gets better.

And if you think you dont have the expertise in doing the stock picking ,call us to start investing in Public Mutual .Good idea eh???:-)

Be There For Each Other-In Good Or Bad Times

Posted by financialplanner8 on July 18, 2008

In order to renovate the house, someone in Japan breaks open the wall.
Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls.

When tearing down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside hammered into one of its feet.
He sees this, feels pity, and at the same time curious, as when he checked the nail, it was nailed 10 years ago when the house was first built… !

What happened?
The lizard has survived in such position for 10 years!!!!!!!!!!
In a dark wall partition for 10 years without moving, it is impossible and mind-boggling.
Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 10 years! Without moving a single step–since its foot was nailed!

So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and what and how it has been eating.

Later, not knowing from where it came appears another lizard, with food in its mouth.

Ah! He was stunned and touched deeply.

For the lizard that was stuck by nail; another lizard has been feeding it for the past 10 years…

Imagine? It has been doing that untiringly for 10 long years, without giving up hope on its partner.

Think, will u do that to your partner?

Think that will you do it to your Mom, who brought you after a big struggle of nine long months?

Or at least to your Dad, Friends, Co-workers, brothers and Sisters?

Imagine what a small creature can do that a creature blessed with a brilliant mind can’t.

As information and communication technology advances, our access to information becomes faster and faster.

But the distance between human beings . … . is it getting closer as well?

Please never abandon your loved ones

Never Say U R Busy When They Really Need You…

You May Have The Entire World At Your Feet…….

But You Might Be The Only World To Them….

A Moment of negligence might break the very heart which loves you thru all odds….

Before you say something just remember. It takes a moment to Break but an entire life to make…
To Live Use Heart and to Survive use Brains.

Then Life would be a paradise Unfurling only Love Joy and
Happiness….

Word of Wisdom:How to show and earn respect

Posted by financialplanner8 on July 18, 2008

The words you speak today should be soft and tender..for tomorrow you may have to eat them. By showing respect for others and listening, we can increase our own ability to think creatively, clearly and effectively.

When you catch yourself needing to be right or needing to be in control, imagine that there is a big sign over your head telling the world what a fool you are. You can’t see it but the rest of the world can. Stubbornness and anger can rob you of other’s  respect and when you lose respect you lose your integrity as well.

It is never too late to change for better tomorrow… One may have lost the most valuable thing in life and never repeat the same mistake…

Posted by financialplanner8 on July 15, 2008

Average daily trading volume was sustained at 0.4 billion units over the week while average trading value decreased to RM0.9 billion from RM1.1 billion in the preceding week.
On Wall Street, the Dow fell to a 2-year low of 11,086 points on Thursday following concerns over the financial health of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, which are mortgage institutions that hold or guarantee about $5 trillion worth of mortgages in the U.S. However, the sell-down was mitigated by the Federal Reserve’s chairman Ben Bernanke’s comments that the Fed will offer lending assistance by opening up the discount window to these two mortgage firms. The Dow closed at 11,101 points to register a decline of 1.7% for the week. The Nasdaq fell by 0.3% at 2,239 points over the same period.
Export growth in the U.S. sustained at 17.8% in May from 19.2% in April on moderation in exports of capital goods and food & beverages. Meanwhile import growth eased to 12.5% from 13.6% over the same period. As export growth outpaced import growth, the cumulative trade deficit for the first five months of 2008 narrowed by 1.3% to US$295.2 billion over the previous corresponding period.
The University of Michigan Confidence Index rose to 56.6 in July from 56.4 in June as consumers’ perception on current economic conditions was sustained.
Crude oil prices touched an intra-day record high of US$146.30/brl on Friday due to geopolitical concerns in the Middle-East and supply disruptions in Brazil and Nigeria before easing on expectations of lower U.S. oil consumption to close at US$145.08/brl and register a weekly decline of 0.1%.

Malaysia’s foreign reserves rose by RM12.8bil in the last two weeks of June to RM410.9bil as at 30th June 2008 compared to a decline of RM0.2bil in the first two weeks of June 2008. The increase in reserves was due to the quarterly adjustment of foreign exchange revaluation gain as major currencies strengthened against the Ringgit in 2Q2008.
The Ringgit registered a weekly gain of 1.1% against the U.S. dollar to close at RM3.233 as the U.S. dollar weakened against major currencies. On a year-to-date basis, the Ringgit appreciated by 2.3% against the greenback.
Looking ahead, the local market is anticipated to continue moving in tandem with overseas markets over the near term. Investors will continue to monitor the outlook for oil prices, economic growth and interest rates in the U.S.
